Dear Pineland Suzuki School families,

Welcome to a new year full of exciting events! We teachers are eager to start teaching, refreshed from travel, visits with family and summer music experiences.

At our first meeting on September 9, we will welcome new and returning families, hear inspiring stories  from some students and parents  and give an overview of what is ahead for Pineland Suzuki School!  Fiddle, orchestra and chamber music students will receive music. Please bring your registration form  with at least a partial payment, or send it in ahead of time. 2% discount if all paid by Sept. 9. Thank you. 

3:30  meetings of fiddle, pre-twinkle, new families  and chamber music with parents, teachers & students, specifics about your classes

4:00-5:15 Meeting for all parents, while violinists, violists, cellists and pre-twinklers  play!  Bring instruments.

5:15-5:45  meetings of parents, teachers and students of orchestra & theory classes

News: The first PSS summer camp, held August 8 & 9 at China Lake Conference Center was such an enormous success that the overwhelming feeling is, “Let’s do it again!” We will prepare earlier next summer so that more of you can attend. Five teachers, two PSS alumni and nineteen students  from pre-twinkle to Capital Strings  enjoyed an intense but relaxing experience. The mix of great weather, great food, great teaching, great students made us all want to come back for more! The program included swimming, kayaking, parent discussions, movement class, lessons, play-in, chamber music and orchestra.  Many thanks to the parents who donated food and meals and those who gave up a lot of time to make it all possible: Randy and Stacey Whitman, Margot Stiassni, Yuko Sato. Thanks to all Capital Strings students. You were sweet and kind and perhaps more helpful than you know with the younger students. You worked hard, never complaining (that I heard) with music and meal preparation and dishwashing and you played beautifully!

We look forward to seeing you September 9^th!
